Maybe a Re-start
Maybe a re-start, after a long time a way (freaking long really), I need to start again, not being an addicted to dA, but slowly, submit less work, chose carefully witch ones, search for a bit of art, and appreciate the work of those who I follow.

First things first, how are you?
I'm feeling great, bought my first Dslr, not quite the one I was looking for (SLT-A55), but a Nikon D3100, not bad either, more money for lenses, already looking for the Nikon 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6 VR DX . This means that right now, I have three possible working ways, the old but fast point-&-shoot the Fuji F610 (from where all my works
Out for a long time, and my biggest problem now...
I know I have been out to long now, seems that life just keeps testing me, day after day, something new happens...

Going at a normal 50km/h when I perceive that the car in front of me had stopped literally, I start braking and had more than enough space to do it... but the brakes block and because it was a rainy and the road was dirty the car just keep going and going.... you know when it stops right? In the back of the other car...

Dslr vs P and s, Time going by, Re-editing?

Do you really new a dslr/slr to have good results?
This is just a question I make myself... In my daily walks trough dA I see really good photos and some are just non-sense. The question is do you really need a professional camera? Or a Point & Shoot can be used to get good results?
I see that some point and shoot cameras out there can really get great results... but when it comes to creativity sometimes a professional camera is just the right way to go ( In my case I feel that I have already explored my camera limitations ).
And if you have a Dslr or other "professional" camera do you have put aside your older p&s?
